Special After Labor Day Camping-RV rate is $35/night any site, $185/week for 1-2 people. $3/person for extra people

You are responsible for any damage that may occur to your rental while in your possession.
We recommend reserving the equipment in advance. A damage deposit or credit card along with a signed rental AII rates are subject to MN sales tax and may be subject to change

Cabin Policies

To reserve a Cabin and/or Rv site, please check the availability calendar and then give us a call. We require a deposit before we can confirm your reservation. We accept credit cards or check for deposit. We accept checks if time allows. Once we receive the deposit, we will mail a confirmation letter (or email) to you with all the reservation details.
The person making the reservation is responsible for the entire reservation. This person is also responsible for all damages that occur to their cabin or cabins that are reserved under their name. The person making the reservations are also responsible for the actions of everyone in your family, your group, or your visitors while they are at Shady Rest Resort. This includes any damages by them or inappropriate or unwanted behavior.

Basic Cabin and Resort Rules

No Fireworks…No pets…No Jet Skis…No ATV’s

– Everyone must register at the office before going to the cabin or campsite. State Law section 321.10.321.13. This includes all visitors
– Additional charges may be assessed for more then the cabin’s or RV site base occupancy.
– There is a visitor charge of $5/person. You are responsible for your visitors and their actions. They must register immediately upon arrival. We reserve the right to limit visitors.
– We only allow 2 cars at our cabins except #10 and the Private Cabin. Please park your trailers in the designated trailer parking area. Trailers are not allowed at the Cabin or RV site.
– Quiet time is 11 pm and is strictly enforced. Any loud behavior will not be tolerated. You respect the other guests at the resort.
– Please respect other guest’s privacy by not walking thru their cabin yard or RV space.
– You are responsible for any damage to any property that occurs by you, the people registered to your cabin, or visitors
– Please maintain your cabin during your stay and have it in a basically clean state at departure. We have a limited time prepare your cabin for the next guest and this helps.
– Please no fish cleaning at the cabin or RV site…we have a fish-cleaning house by boat landing.
– Cabins….Check-in is after 3 pm and checkout is before 9 am the date of departure.
– RV sites…Check-in after 2 pm and Checkout before 1 pm. If arriving after 9 pm, please call to inform us and we can help with a late check-in.

At Shady Rest we promote a family atmosphere. We want everyone to have fun and a good time but please remember that there are other guests staying around you. Loud, obnoxious behavior, foul language, loud music, or any intrusion of another guest’s privacy or comfort will not be tolerated. Failure to comply with any rule or policy set by Shady Rest Resort or the State of MN may result in eviction without refund. Quiet time is 11 pm to 8 am and strictly enforced.

Cancellation Policy for Cabins

You are financially responsible for the confirmed reservation. If you cancel before April lst, we will refund your deposit minus $100/cabin re-booking fee. Canceling after April 1st, we will refund your deposit minus $100 re-booking fee if and when we can re-rent your reservation without loss of revenue. If we cannot re-book your reservation without loss of revenue, the deposit will be retained by Shady Rest Resort. With multiple cabin rentals we handle each cabin separately. Please notify us as soon as possible to allow us to re-book your cancellation. No shows forfeit their deposit and are responsible for the balance for their reservation.
